Best. Day. Ever! How do I give Erika more than 5 stars???? It's hard to express in words how amazing Erika is -- as a person & as a photographer. My wife and I loved her and how passionate she is about her work. Our wedding was a destination wedding and Erika captured our special moment with every picture she took. Erika is the best photographer to work with!
I have worked with Erika on several occasions...she produced photography and layouts for multiple textbook covers, and a culinary and beverage classroom redesign. In addition, she organized and performed multiple photo shoots for all of the artwork involved with 2 Beverage and food textbooks.
I really enjoyed the class. Not only did I learn how to use a camera but also it gave me enough creative freedom to explore different subject matter and get out of my comfort zone. Unlike other art classes, Erika's teaching methods and personality makes the class feel not so uptight, makes it feel like you can ask questions and no one will judge you.
I loved the class! Before taking your class I did not know how to manually operate a camera, and I had never used Lightroom or Photoshop. Your instruction and the assignments you gave us helped me gain a solid foundation of all the basics. I wish the class was longer so you could have gone into more detail on the nuances of photoshop.
Erika is a great teacher; I can honestly say she taught me everything I know about a camera. I use the skills she taught me to this day and in so many of my other classes. She is kind, very helpful, and patient. She takes the time to make sure every student understands what they need to and she is always receptive to questions. It was a pleasure taking her class!
I loved taking your photography class because I felt that it was challenging enough to keep me on my toes and tying new things, and even with prior knowledge of photography I was always enhancing and advancing my skills and abilities in the art. I was always excited to come to class, it was just the right amount of structure and creative freedom that made it so beneficial and enjoy for me.
…After finishing this course I was able to proficiently photograph my artworks as well as create more interesting reference photos using composition, color, form, and other principles of art, which Erika had taught in their class. I've been complimented on these by other faculty members and I always refer to the course I had taken from Erika Cespedes. Thank you! I truly did learn a lot.
…I truly learned a lot about photography and will continue to learn and grow in it more. I have many ideas for my design photo shoots and this class really helped me. I just wanted to say thank you…
Your class was probably the best photography class I've ever taken, and it helped me decided that I actually wanted to minor in photography. In the short time that I was in this fundamental class, I learned more than I thought or hoped to learn in only a few short weeks.
Loved every bit of the class. The presentation was very summarized and to the point. I was able to use both DSLR and phone camera.
The pace was reasonable and I liked how the instructor would stop to address individual questions and made that a learning moment for everyone in the class.
The instructor was good at explaining the steps and more than willing to repeat herself if asked.
